LED RELAMPING

A non-negligible item of expenditure in a company’s budget is the lighting system. According to statistics, Italian companies spend much more on electricity than the European average, and this is a major competitive disadvantage. To help our customers save money without losing energy efficiency, we at Grimaldi Energia have included LED Relamping among our consulting services.

LED Relamping refers to the replacement of lamps that are inefficient and therefore cause energy waste, such as halogen and incandescent or fluorescent lamps, with LED lamps. The latter are able to cut down on energy waste, with consumption reduced by up to 85% for the same or even higher light output; and to guarantee a longer life span, with a consequent reduction in maintenance costs. For an LED bulb, we are talking about an average life of 50 thousand hours, compared to 1000 for an incandescent bulb. Furthermore, unlike classic lighting, LED lighting does not overheat the room, so it also saves on cooling. LED relamping does not involve any structural intervention on existing installations. In fact, it consists of the simple plug-and-play operation of replacing old light bulbs with their LED counterparts, which retain their size and type of socket. Only in some cases is it necessary to also replace the luminaire.
